1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and SermonStor, operated by EL Branch Ministries LLC. By creating an account, accessing our web app, or using our website, iPhone app, or iPad app (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of a church, ministry, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to both you and it.
2. The Service
SermonStor is a tool for preachers and ministry leaders to organize, store, and recall sermons, manuscripts, scripture references, venues, and related media. The current pilot is free. Pro features and planned pricing are described on our pricing page, but a paid Pro subscription is not currently offered through this marketing website. A future purchase requires your separate agreement to the price and purchase terms. Features, limits, and pricing may change over time, subject to applicable law and any existing purchase terms.
3. Accounts
You need an account to use most of the Service. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@sermonstor.com if you suspect unauthorized access. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement to create an account. The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to register.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of the sermons, manuscripts, notes, recordings, images, and other material you submit ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, display, and process Your Content to provide the features you use, including search, imports, and AI responses. This license does not transfer ownership to us.
You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit Your Content, including information about other people. Do not submit confidential pastoral counseling records, health information, or other sensitive third-party information unless you have the necessary authority and permissions.
Content you choose to publish or share may become accessible to others. Keep independent backups of important material. Cancellation, account deletion, and removal of content are different actions; see Section 8 and the Privacy Policy.
5. AI Features
The sermon assistant and AI-assisted imports process prompts, pasted text, and relevant library content through third-party AI services. Review the AI processing disclosure before using these features. Do not submit material you are not authorized to share for this purpose.
AI responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading, including their citations. Verify responses against your original material. These features are organizational aids and do not provide professional, medical, legal, financial, or crisis advice.
6. Safety & Crisis Support
The Service is not an emergency, mental-health, or crisis-response service. It is not monitored for urgent requests. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services. Do not rely on the assistant for safety-critical decisions.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: use the Service for anything unlawful; upload content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or that infringes another party's rights; attempt to access another user's library or account; copy, reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law; interfere with or overload our infrastructure; or use the Sermon assistant or import features to process content you don't have the right to share with a third-party AI provider. We may investigate and take action, including suspending accounts, if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.
8. Billing, Renewal & Cancellation
Current pilot. SermonStor is free during the pilot. Joining the pilot does not authorize a future charge. The purchase provisions below apply only if you later choose a paid subscription.
Prices and trials. The purchase screen identifies the price, billing period, included features, and any trial eligibility before purchase. If a subscription automatically renews or a trial converts to a paid subscription, those terms must be disclosed at checkout. Do not assume that every platform offers the same price or trial.
Web purchases. Manage a subscription purchased on the web through the billing controls provided with your account. Contact support@sermonstor.com for assistance if those controls are unavailable.
Apple purchases. If you purchase through Apple's App Store, Apple handles billing. Manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple account's subscription settings. An email to SermonStor does not itself cancel an Apple subscription. Apple's purchase terms and refund process apply alongside any mandatory consumer rights.
Cancellation and deletion. Cancel before the renewal or trial-conversion deadline shown by the seller. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. Account deletion does not necessarily cancel billing through a separate seller. Cancellation normally stops future renewal; access during the remaining period is governed by the purchase terms.
Refunds and changes. Refund eligibility depends on the seller's terms and applicable law. Contact the seller that charged you to request a refund. Nothing here excludes a refund or other right required by law. Material price changes will be communicated as required by the applicable purchase terms and law.
9. Suspension & Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users, and we'll try to give you notice and a chance to export Your Content first unless we reasonably believe immediate action is necessary.
10. Our Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, trademarks, and branding, but excluding Your Content and third-party materials, is owned by EL Branch Ministries LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding beyond what's needed to use the Service normally.
11. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated output will be accurate. You use the Service, and any AI output, at your own judgment and risk.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SermonStor and its owners, employees, and contractors won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $100. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend and indemnify SermonStor against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from Your Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
14. Governing Law & Disputes
Contact us first if you have a dispute so we can try to resolve it. Applicable law determines the governing law and courts with jurisdiction. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive mandatory consumer protections, access to eligible small-claims courts, or other rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll post the revised version here with a new "last updated" date, and we will provide notice of material changes through the Service or by email where required. If applicable law requires your express agreement to a change, we will obtain it. Otherwise, continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
